Ghet's relationship with Y'Roden spans more than a thousand years, and several forms. They became friends while she was married to Chase, and despite the deep attraction on both sides,  she truly thought they could just stay friends. It didn't work, of course: after five hundred years, she fell into his bed without an ounce of regret. She wanted to stop when he began his relationship with Summerlin, but it couldn't be done, and so it remained. Both of them committed to other people, both unable to break the addiction of being together.   

Time passed, and events never stood still. Ro found she'd slept with Galain as well, that she loved An'Thaya's husband although she was refusing to have a relationship with him. Wounded, Y'Roden went to Tenobrous, and the world fell apart. When he returned, Ghet was bonded to Galain.

Thrown into grieving madness by Galain's apparent death, it was Y'Roden who picked up the pieces of Ghet and put her back together, only for her to leave him again when she found out Galain was alive. For a century, she lived a divided life, committed to both men, trying to keep them both happy. She was devestated when Ro left her to pursue a love that could be wholly his, but she consoled herself with believing he was better off without her.

They were never really allowed to get on with their separate lives. Y'Roden's demon fought free of his control and raped Ghet, intending to kill her. Ro saved her from that, but fathered a child on her, a bond between them that could not be severed.

Ten years later, amid strife and sickness in S'Hea, Ro's marriage to Silverthorn broke down. He chose death, and in her turn Ghet chose to drag him back to life with the promise of commitment she'd never given him before. After much struggle and grief, Ghet divorced Galain and married her Rodi.

Their love is passionate and accommodates the darkest sides of their personalities, and it is the darkness that gives their love its power.
